Selecting Inputs On Your TV Using the INT-422 Remote

Here is a tip from a knowledgeable user:

Many TVs have codes to directly select a specific input like HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc. This is great for programming a device macro. Problem is, the factory remotes usually can't send those codes. HOWEVER -- if you have an Android phone with an IR blaster, set up the Peel Smart Remote app to switch your TV directly to specific inputs (using the Activity feature). Then use the learning mode on the INT-422 Remote to teach it the direct-input codes from Peel. Works like a charm.

Thanks to Rob Dog for this.

Do you know of any way to do this without an Android phone?

Unfortunately, there is no standard method to do this. It depends on your TV or receiver. If you have a remote for a device that allows you to switch inputs you may be able to have the INT422 learn that button press from your old remote.

I did this by using a Harmony remote.  Set up the Harmony remote to select specific inputs and then teach the INT-422 from the Harmony.
